Parking Information and Driving Directions for 2010 Cal Softball
Cal Softball Parking for 2010
Due to construction at Memorial Stadium, parking in Strawberry Canyon and at Levine-Fricke Field has been significantly reduced. To help alleviate this issue, Cal Athletics has partnered with Parking and Transportation to provide the following options on Cal softball game days:
Witter Lot
Approximately 25 spaces will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. These spaces will be located on the East end of the lot near the Strawberry Canyon Rec Center, behind the right field fence. Patrons will be required to purchase a permit from the machine adjacent to the lot.
Cal Athletics cannot be responsible for damage to vehicle
- i.e. broken windshields, other damage from errant balls.
Underhill Lot Park & Ride
Patrons can pay to park in the Underhill Lot, which is located at the corner of College and Channing. A shuttle bus will carry patrons to Levine-Fricke Field beginning two hours prior to the start of the game. The pick-up location for this shuttle bus will be on Channing Avenue, near College Avenue.
This shuttle bus is free of charge. This shuttle will run up to one hour after the end of each game.
Lawrence Hall of Science & Botanical Gardens Lot
On weekdays only, patrons may pay to park in the either the Lawrence Hall of Science or the Botanical Gardens Parking Lot located on Centennial Way and catch the Hill shuttle down to the game.
The cost for the shuttle is $1.00 and leaves the Lawrence Hall of Science at :27 and :57 past each hour (i.e. 1:27 & 1:57). The shuttle leaves from the Botanical Garden Lot at :29 and :59 past each hour. The shuttle will return patrons from Strawberry Canyon recreation area at :15 & :45 past each hour with the final shuttle departing at 7:02 p.m.

Driving Directions to Levine-Fricke Field
From San Francisco
- Take U.S. 101 North to I-80 east across the Bay Bridge
- Stay left as you get off the Bay Bridge exiting onto I-80 E to Berkeley & Sacramento
- Exit University Avenue
- Continue East on University Ave for 1.5 miles to Oxford Street (which borders the West side of campus).
- Turn left on Oxford.
- Turn right on Hearst.
- Turn right on Galey Road.
- At three-way stop sign, turn left on Stadium-Rimway Road.
- At the stop sign behind the football stadium, turn left on Centennial Way. Levine-Fricke Field is on the right.
From Oakland, the Oakland airport, Hayward or San Jose on northbound I-880
- Stay in left center lanes on I-880 when you reach downtown Oakland
- Exit I-80 East (to Berkeley)
- Take 980 East/24 East towards Berkeley
- Exit Claremont Avenue
- Turn left on Claremont Avenue
- Bear left on College Avenue.
- Turn right on Dwight.
- Turn left on Prospect.
- Turn right on Centennial.
From the East Bay on eastbound Highway 24
- From Highway 24 exit Claremont Ave.
- Turn left on Claremont Avenue
- Bear left on College Avenue.
- Turn right on Dwight.
- Turn left on Prospect.
- Turn right on Centennial.
From the East Bay on northbound Highway 13
- Highway 13 ends and becomes Tunnel Road
- Continue on Tunnel Road. Tunnel Road becomes Ashby Avenue near the Claremont Hotel.
- Turn left on Claremont Ave.
- Continue on Claremont Ave, which will become Derby Street.
- Turn right on Piedmont Ave.
- Follow Piedmont to Stadium Way and turn left.
- At the stop sign behind the football stadium, turn left on Centennial Way. Levine-Fricke Field is on the right.
From the East Bay on I-80 bound either east or west
- Exit University Avenue
- Continue east on University Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles to Oxford Street (which borders the West side of campus).
