McCart Leads Bears to Victory
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Behind the stellar effort of pitcher Melanie McCart, the California Golden Bears defeated the Michigan State Spartans, 4-0.
In addition to throwing five-hit ball, McCart was the offensive star as well. She went 3-for-3, hit her second home run of the season and drove in all four runs.
Stephanie Noffsinger went the distance for the Spartans, allowing four runs, two earned, and five hits.
Cal improved to 19-13 on the year, while Michigan State fell to 26-7.

Cal Shuts Out Wisconsin
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Holly Yost pitched a complete-game, three-hit shutout to lead Cal past Wisconsin in its second game of the day at the Capital Classic.
Yost struck out six and also went 1-for-3 at the plate.
Jessica Parker led the way for Cal, going 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI and a triple.
