One of the top hitters on the team, Yost is also a key figure on Cals pitching staff has batted over .300 the last two seasons and owns a career average of .305 as a pitcher, holds several school records set during her sophomore year when she tossed more than 300 innings and won 29 games the heavy load she endured in 97 seemed to take its toll on her throughout much of 98, but she returns at 100 percent for her senior campaign owns the Cal career save record with five enters the lineup as the designated player when she is not pitching.

As a Junior: Came on strong at the end of the year to post a .312 batting average closed the season with an eight-game hitting streak (10-21, .476) voted first team Academic All-Pac-10 also named to the all-tournament team at the NCAA regional when she went 4-for-8 with two RBI in three games paced the Bears with 25 RBI as a pitcher, appeared mostly in relief with 20 appearances, but just one start opposing batter hit just .208 against her shut out UCLA, 6-0, on a five-hitter with seven strikeouts April 25 picked up saves in back-to-back days against Creighton and Akron.

As a Sophomore: Had to carry almost the entire pitching load when fellow starter Whitney Floyd was sidelined most of the year with a knee injury ... set a school record by appearing in 56 games, breaking the mark of 48 by Michele Granger in 1993 ... earned second team All-Pac-10 honors and was voted to the all-tournament team at the NCAA regional after posting wins over Long Beach State and Cal State Northridge ... Cals pitcher of record in the Bears final 27 games ... posted 11 shutouts on the year, including a 7-0 victory over UCLA in February ... named Pac-10 Player of the Week April 7 ... led the Pac-10 in innings, appearances and complete games ... her 29 wins rank fifth on Cals single-season list ... had eight wins over teams that made the NCAA Tournament ... had back-to-back shutouts in a doubleheader vs. Oregon State April 6, allowing just five hits in the two games ... named to the all-tournament team at the Capital Classic after going 2-2 with 25 strikeouts in 27 innings ... tossed two six-hit shutouts over New Mexico State April 27 ... offensively, led the Bears with a .327 average ... also socked three home runs and had 23 RBI ... hit by a pitch nine times and owns the school career record with 16 HBP had the game-winning RBI with a single in the bottom of the seventh inning in a 6-5 win over Washington ... also had the game-winning RBI single in the 10th inning of a 5-4 win at Oregon State.

As a Freshman: Saw action at pitcher, right field and designated player ... won her first six decisions ... all three of her losses came against Top 4 teams ... allowed just four hits in a 3-2, 9-inning defeat at Washington ... her biggest win came April 27 when she beat Arizona, 3-1, on a five-hitter ... tossed a one-hitter in a 9-0 victory over Toledo ... at the plate, drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning in a 3-2 win over Arizona State April 28 ... earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 and second team all-region accolades.

High School: Was a two-time first team all-state selection at Grace Davis HS ... as a senior, went 22-2 with a 0.10 ERA, striking out 333 in 162 innings ... also batted .455 with 25 runs, five homers and 40 RBI ... had similar numbers as a junior when she was 26-3 with a 0.11 ERA and 300 strikeouts ... hit .475 with three home runs and 30 RBI at the plate ... walked only 37 batters in 362 innings during her final two seasons ... earned all-league honors four times and was a two-time conference MVP
