May will complete her career as a four-year starter for the Bears played second base for the first half of her freshman season, but has been a fixture at shortstop ever since recipient of a Jeff Kent Women Driven Scholarship was featured on Fox Sports TVs In the Zone over the summer is a slick fielder who is adept at making defensive plays on the move ranks third on Cals career assist list with 440 and needs just 115 more for the career record ... has one of the strongest arms on the team ... as the plate, is one of Cals top power hitters and does a good job of finding gaps in the outfield.

As a Junior: Earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 honors in 1998 had her best season offensively with a .281 average and a team-high 12 doubles set a school record with 166 assists got out to a fast start with 11 hits in her first 21 at-bats (.524 average) had two hits and three RBI in a win over Oregon also knocked in two runs in Cals NCAA regional victory over Cal State Northridge went 3-for-3 with three doubles vs. Drake.

As a Sophomore: Named to the all-tournament team at the Hawaii Invitational after going 6-for-18 with five RBI ... had 20 chances without an error in Cals doubleheader sweep of Oregon State May 10 ... had a two-run single in a 3-0 win over St. Marys ... was 4-for-7, including a double and a home run, with five RBI in a twinbill at Santa Clara.

As a Freshman: Began the year as Cals starting second baseman, but moved over to shortstop midway through the season ... earned all-tournament honors at the National Invitational Softball Tournament when she hit .429 (9-21) with two doubles and a home run in seven games ... combined to go 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI in a sweep of Arizona April 27 ... drove in a pair of runs with a single at Washington April 13 ... knocked in a career-high four runs after going 2-for-3 with a home run vs. Oregon State March 9 ... scored the winning run in the NCAA regional final against Fresno State after leading off the bottom of the ninth inning with a single.

High School: Earned honorable mention all-state honors from Student Sports magazine ... a four-time all-league player and three-time team MVP at Burlingame HS ... earned San Mateo County MVP honors as a senior.
