FRESHMAN IN 2002-03: Scored points for the Bears at the Pac-10 Championships in the 100 and 200 breast events...swam the team's fourth-fastest time of the season in the 100 breast (1:05.82).
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of the Menlo School...was the MVP all four years...team was the Girls' Private School League Champions all four years she competed...named Girls' Private School League Swimmer of the Year in 2002...swam with the Palo Alto Swim Club, coached by Tony Batis...set high school records in the 100 breaststroke and 200 medley and freestyle relays...holds club records in the 100 breast, 200 breast and several relays...was a varsity water polo player for three years in high school and was team captain as a senior...received numerous awards in high school including, Japanese Department Award, Love of Learning Award, Scholastic All-America honors and was a National Merit Scholar finalist...also was a member of the Senior Honors Society and was her school's Amnesty International president.
