Fifth Annual Men's and Women's Tennis Benefit and Awards Banquet Set

Event scheduled to begin May 9 at 2 p.m.

The University of California men's and women's tennis teams will be hosting a tennis benefit and awards banquet at the Berkeley Tennis Club in Berkeley on Saturday, May 9. The Friends of Cal Tennis, Cal tennis coaches, and both varsity teams are cordially inviting all Cal tennis aficionados to join in the event.

The day will begin with a round robin doubles tournament at 2:00 p.m. in which Cal tennis fans may team up to play with the varsity players for a fee. Money raised from the benefit will provide funds for the operational expenses for both the men's and women's programs.

The evening program is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Berkeley Tennis Club banquet room with beverages and a catered buffet dinner. Following the meal, an awards ceremony will honor the top Cal team players and celebrate Jan Brogan's 20 years of coaching excellence at Cal.
