LOOKING TO IMPROVE YOUR VOLLEYBALL SKILLS????
The Cal Volleyball Coaching Staff and Players invite all young motivated volleyball players to attend the Cal Volleyball Summer Camp! Coaches will include Cal Head Coach Sue Woodstra, Assistant Coaches Oscar Crespo and Stephanie Shrieve, current & former Cal players and top club coaches. All camp sessions will be held on campus at the Recreational Sports Facility (R.S.F.).

SKILLS CAMP
DATES: July 6-10
Monday thru Friday
TIMES: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm Beginning & Intermediate Level
1:30 pm - 5:00 pm Advanced Level

COMMUTER ONLY CAMP

COMMUTER & RESIDENT OPTIONS
POSITIONS: Outside Hitter/Blocker, Middle Hitter/Blocker, Setter
BENEFITS:
Outside Hitter/Blocker --
The main focus is on hitting, blocking, serve-receive passing and defense. Drills also
contain high level skills such a moving from defense to attack, hitting a variety of sets
and shots, moving from serve-receive to attack and effective blocking techniques.
Middle Hitter/Blocker --
The basics of hitting and blocking are taught in addition to more advanced techniques.
Participants receive training in hitting a variety of setts--attacking in front of and behind
the setter. Focus is on blocking movement along with reading and anticipating opponent
setters and hitters.
Setters --
Top setter coaches instruct in the best setting techniques progressively from the basic
skills to advanced techniques such as jump setting, setting fast attacks and tipping. Also
included are discussions on handling hitters, relating to your coach and team leadership.
