  • With tonight’s 93-59 win, Cal improved to 2-0 for the eighth consecutive season.
  • Cal scored 93 points two days after defeating Alcorn State, 91-57 – the first time the Bears have scored at least 90 points in consecutive games since 2002 (90-57 vs. Washington State, 1/19/02; 92-91 OT at USC, 1/24/02).
  • Jabari Bird finished with 15 points, extending his streak of reaching double figures to a career-best five games dating back to Cal’s three-game run in the NIT last season.
  • After not allowing Alcorn State to score during the first 4:25 of Friday’s opener, the Bears held Kennesaw State without a point for the first 4:50 of the game when Cal had built a 9-0 lead.
  • Cal built a 41-15 halftime lead, then came out of the break and made its first seven shots from the field.
  • Senior forward David Kravish started his 90th consecutive game tonight.
  • Kravish opened the game with a three-pointer from the top of the key – the third of his career. He is now 3-for-9 from behind the arc.
  • David Kravish blocked 1 shot to give him 183 for his career, which ranks No. 2 in school history. Michael Stewart (1994-97) owns the Cal mark of 207.
