Thank you to all our Golden Bear fans for participating this year in the UC Berkeley Big Give!
Our Big Give fundraiser began at 9 p.m. Wednesday the 18th and ended at 9 p.m. Thursday the 19th, bringing in a total of 554 gifts for Cal Athletics. Thanks to you, we raised $371,103 for our athletic programs and our department finished in 6th place across the entire UC Berkeley campus!
Our student-athletes chose Cal because of the excellent academic and athletic resources made possible through your generosity. Most importantly, your gifts to our 30 athletic programs help boost our student-athletes as they work towards success in all parts of their lives.

Cal Athletics is a proud partner in the Big Give, an online fundraising event that gives you and the Cal community the chance to come together to support Cal student-athletes and the entire UC Berkeley campus.
On Thursday, November 19th, all Cal Athletics donors, season ticket holders, letterwinners, family, friends and fans are invited to support the Cal Athletics Fund, their favorite athletic program, school or major. There will also be contests and prizes awarded throughout the day.

Big Contests
Beginning at 9 p.m. PT on November 18, all new gifts (excluding existing pledges) made online through biggive.berkeley.edu/calbears are eligible for the contests below:
BIG SLICE – Schools, colleges, and programs that raise the most money over the course of Big Give get the biggest pieces of the pie.
BIG BANG – Schools, colleges, and programs with the highest day-of participation rate over the course of Big Give win big prizes.
BIG COUNTDOWN – Hour-long contests in a variety of categories.

Big Prizes
PRIZES – All donations to the Cal Athletics Fund or your favorite Cal Athletics team can earn these great prizes below:
- $100 – Bonus priority point of 1 per $100 given
- $500 – Tweet from Cal Athletics (include Twitter handle in special notes of online gift)
- $1,000 – 2 free tickets to Cal Women’s Basketball vs. Stanford on Friday, February 5th
- $2,500 – 2 free tickets to Cal Men’s Basketball vs. Davidson on Monday, December 28th
- $5,000 – California Memorial Stadium/SAHPC tour
- $10,000 – Pregame field passes to Cal Football vs. ASU on November 28th
