1. Lunch, Golf and Cocktails at Virginia Country Club (CA) with two great Cal Alums, Peter Tomasulo and Dennis Martin

As many as six of you will play golf and have lunch at Virginia Country Club with Peter Tomasulo and Dennis Martin and enjoy cocktails after the round. Have a friendly team match that day or just have a fun day of golf hearing stories from two great friends of the Cal Golf program. You’ll have the time of your life with Pete and D-Mart at one of the hidden gems at Virginia Country Club. Oh, and, Pete is a former PGA Tour and Web.com player and co-captain of our 2004 NCAA Championship team. Dennis is also a great player having competed in many events, including the 2018 Senior U.S. Open 2010 and 2018 Cal State Amateur, 2020 SCGA and NCGA Amateurs and the 2020 California Senior Amateur. If timing fits, Head Coach Walter Chun will gladly join in on the festivities that day, and play referee between the two teams. Go Bears!

3. Tee It Up with Former Bears in the Desert

Well, three of you will now have your chance to spend one round with the former Golden Bear and PGA Tour winner at his home course, Whisper Rock Golf Club, in Arizona! Max can share stories of his time at Cal, his PGA adventures, his win at the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship or even learn more about his Get A Grip podcast. We promise you and your lucky two friends/family will enjoy your day with Max! 

In addition to golf with Max, the three of you will also have the opportunity to play at the Country Club of DC Ranch with former Cal Golfer George Serra. DC Ranch is a private course near the McDowell Mountains in Scottsdale. A real treat!

4. L.A. Spectacular - Southern California at its Best

You will have the opportunity to join former Cal Golfer Jim Skinner at the iconic Riviera Country Club, which has hosted 75 PGA events (current host of the Genesis Invitational), one U.S. Open (1948), two PGA Championships (1983 and 1995) as well as host of the 2012 NCAA Championship. 5. SERIOUS Golf in the Hamptons

Three of you can join the Cal Golf team next October 1-5, 2021 when we play in the Hamptons Intercollegiate hosted at Maidstone Golf Club. It will be Cal Golf’s first time traveling to the Hamptons, so the more, the merrier! In addition to watching the team compete (or maybe you would rather go sightseeing and/or just play golf!), the three of you have the opportunity to play some of New York’s finest golf courses, including Friars Head (ranked #15 by Golf Digest) hosted by Cal alum Eric Berridge; Maidstone Golf Club (ranked #67 by Golf Digest) hosted by the head pro, Eden Foster; and the new private course, Hudson National Golf Club (ranked #81 by Golf Digest), hosted by former Cal Golfer Ben Mangum. 7. The Best of American Golf: Play Merion, Aronimink and Philadelphia Cricket Club

Two of you will join host Cal Golf alum, Jeff Johnston, and play the famed, historic Merion Golf Club's East Course twice. Consistently ranked in the Top 10 golf courses by Golf Digest, Merion’s East Course has hosted 18 USGA Championships including five U.S. Open’s, six U.S. Amateur’s and home of the upcoming 2022 Curtis Cup and 2026 U.S. Amateur Championship.

The trip also includes playing Aronimink as well as one of the two fabulous golf courses at Philadelphia Cricket Club. Aronimink is ranked #78 according to Golf Digest and has hosted the 1962 PGA Championship, the 1977 U.S. Amateur, the 2003 Senior PGA Championship,  2010 & 2011 PGA Tour’s AT&T National, the 2018 BMW Championship and the 2020 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. 9. Great Golf in the Windy City

FOUR of you will get to play both courses at Olympia Fields Country Club just outside of Chicago. The North Course at Olympia Fields (ranked #75 by Golf Digest) garners the most notoriety as it played host to the PGA Tour’s 2020 BMW Championship, the second playoff event of the FedEx Championship. The North Course has also hosted the 2003 U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur in 2015. If your golf game and handicap take a hit at the North Course, then head over to the South Course for a little reprieve, but don’t be fooled, the South Course has plenty of teeth to further punish that handicap of yours! Also, enjoy a THREESOME at Chicago Highlands Club, site of the 2020 Korn Ferry Tour’s Evans Scholars Invitational. Chicago Highlands is a private club that features a links-style Arthur Hills designed golf course with spectacular views of the Chicago skyline.  Lastly, if you and your friends are up for one more round of golf, enjoy a THREESOME at the Tom Fazio designed Stonebridge Country Club, known as the Hidden Gem of Chicago Highland golf as Stonebridge has hosted the PGA Ameritech Senior Open from 1991-1995 and the LPGA Kellogg-Keebler Classic from 2002-2004.

10. Fun in The Sun in San Diego

San Diego is one of the best places to visit with its fantastic weather and fantastic golf courses. You and your guests will have the opportunity to play three of San Diego’s best courses at The Farms Golf Club, La Jolla Country Club and the Club at La Costa. THREE of you will have the opportunity to play the Farms Golf Club and La Jolla Country Club while a FOURSOME can play at La Costa.

The Farms Golf Club is a private, exclusive golf course which Golf Digest stated as “one of the top 50 clubs in the U.S.” The Farms Golf Open has hosted multiple collegiate tournaments including the 2015 NCAA Men’s Golf Regional Championship and was recently named as one of the sites for the 2024 NCAA Regional Championship. La Jolla Country Club is a private course that has some of the best views in San Diego overlooking the Pacific Ocean. While it may not be long in terms of yardage, La Jolla will test you from tee to green, so don’t stare too much at the ocean while playing! Finally, we will be able to accommodate a FOURSOME at La Costa, so hopefully, one more friend can join in on your festivities! La Costa hosted the PGA Tour’s Mercedes Championship from 1969 to 1998 and was recently honored as host of the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Golf Championship from 2024-2026.
