AS A JUNIOR (2018):
- Enjoyed a breakout season as a junior in 2018 and earned first team All-Pac-12 honors in his final season in Berkeley.
- Drafted by Pittsburgh in the 15th round (No. 444 overall) of the 2018 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
- Named All-Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
- Established himself as one of the nation's premier power hitters with 14 home runs and 58 RBIs. Hit .321 with nine doubles, two triples and 48 runs scored. Slugged .606 and had an on-base percentage of .446.
- Ranked second on the team with an OPS (on-base plus slugging) of 1.053.
- Hit by a pitch 19 times to lead the Pac-12. Also ranked fifth in the conference in home runs, fifth in RBIs, seventh in on-base percentage, eighth in slugging and ninth in runs scored.
- Had 17 multiple-hit games and drove in multiple runs in 14 games.
- Longest hit streak of the year was nine games (April 5 to April 20).
- Earned Pac-12 Player of the Week honors on Feb. 27 after a week in which he went 8 for 14 with one double, one triple, two home runs, five runs scored and 12 RBIs to help Cal sweep Cal St. Bakersfield.
- Named an all-tournament selection at the Frisco Classic after going 6 for 11 with one double, two home runs, four runs scored and six RBIs.
- Finished Cal career with a .300 average in 115 games played. Drove in 84 runs as a Golden Bear with 16 home runs.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2017):
- Appeared in 45 games and started 41 in his second season as a Golden Bear. Saw the majority of his playing time in center field but also played left field and designated hitter.
- Hit .275 with 41 hits in 149 at-bats. Had 11 doubles, two home runs, one triple, 19 runs scored, 23 RBI and 10 stolen bases. Also walked 20 times and was hit by a pitch three times.
- Tied for seventh in the Pac-12 with 10 steals.
- Collected multiple hits in 12 games and was one of four Bears to have a four-hit game (Gonzaga).
- Reached base safely in 19 games from Feb. 18 to March 24, the second-longest on-base streak on the club in 2017.
- Drove in multiple runs in a game five times, including a four-RBI performance on April 29 at Washington.
- Finished the season strong after missing time due to injury and had eight hits over the final six games of the season (No. 7 TCU, No. 15 Arizona).
- Compiled a .986 fielding percentage and committed just one error in the outfield.
AS A FRESHMAN (2016):
- Appeared in 16 games for the Bears, making three starts in RF
- Had a career high two-hit game May 5 at Stanford
- Finished the season with a .267 BA and a .421 OBP
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
- Attended Francis Parker HS, where the Lancers won the 2014 CIF Championship
- Hit .447 with five home runs and 19 stolen bases
- Nominated for the Francis Parker HS Athletic Hall of Fame
- First Team All-League Performer (2014 and 2015), Team MVP (2015), Second Team All-CIF (2015), Offensive Player of the Year (2014), Second Team All-League (2013),Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013, Perfect Game Third Team Selection (2014)
- Played for the PUFCaps in the summer of 2015 (Pacific Union Financial Capitalists) and hit .347 with seven home runs
- Played on the Orioles, Yankees and Royals scout teams
- Played on the San Diego Show travel baseball team, winning a world championship at the 2012 WWBA Nationals in Atlanta
- Participated in the Perfect Game Underclassmen All-American Showcase in Ft. Myers, Florida.
