McCrary has played in 10 games all off the bench during his 2015 freshman and 2016 sophomore seasons, seeing limited action in the backfield and a steady contributor on special teams in second campaign after playing in a single game in his first season at Cal. McCrary has contributed career totals of six rushes for 39 yards and an average of 6.5 yards per carry while adding two receptions for three yards for a total of 42 all-purpose yards. He also has a single career tackle. As a sophomore, McCrary earned second-team Pac-12 All-Academic honors for the first time in his career.

Cal Career (2015 – Present)
• Has played in 10 games all off the bench and contributed six rushes for 39 yards for an average of 6.5 yards per carry while adding two receptions for three yards for a total of 42 all-purpose yards and one lone career tackle, with all of his numbers other than one game played coming as a sophomore
• Also saw significant action on special teams as a sophomore taking 80 snaps
• Had all of his single-game career highs as a sophomore with 20 yards rushing against Washington on a career-high-tying three carries that he also established at USC while also picking up his career-best two receiving yards on a career-high-tying one reception against the Trojans as well as a career-high-tying one reception and his lone career tackle against Stanford
• Started his Cal career seeing most of his work as a safety and on special teams before moving to his current running back position beginning with 2016 spring practices

• Established all of his career highs when he played in nine games all off the bench and rushed six times for 39 yards for an average of 6.5 yards per carry that was second on the team while adding two receptions for three yards for a total of 42 all-purpose yards and his lone career tackle
• Picked up all of his rushing numbers in back-to-back contests at USC and against Washington, rushing for a career-high 20 yards on the ground against the Huskies after 19 vs. the Trojans with both totals coming on a career-high-tying three carries
• Also had a career-high-tying one reception for a career-high two receiving yards at USC while he picked up his other catch for one yard as well as his lone career tackle against Stanford
• Played 80 special teams snaps including a career-high 16 in the season finale against UCLA
• Moved to running back beginning with 2016 spring practices after starting his Cal career as a safety
• Led all rushers with 100 yards on the ground on four carries in the spring game including a 60-yarder in the first half while adding two receptions for 24 yards for the winning Blue squad following an impressive series of spring workouts as a running back

Freshman (2015)
• Played in one game against San Diego State without recording any stats
• Worked with the safeties before being moved to his current running back position beginning with 2016 spring practices

Rouse HS (Class of 2015)
• Finished his prep career with 5,642 yards of total offense and was responsible for 72 touchdowns, rushing for 3,968 yards and 53 touchdowns on the ground while adding another 1,674 yards and 19 touchdown passes thru the air on 114-of-224 passing
• Led his team in rushing during each of his three varsity seasons as a 2012 sophomore, 2013 junior and 2014 senior
• His three varsity teams compiled a 25-15 record while reaching the state semifinals during his sophomore season and state quarterfinals as a junior
• Rushed for 866 yards and 14 touchdowns on 163 carries as a senior, while adding 799 yards in the air on 55-of-125 passing with eight touchdowns and eight interceptions for a team that finished 5-6 overall and reached the first round of the state playoffs
• Had five 100-yard rushing performances as a senior including three in a row late in the campaign and a single-game season-high 189 yards and a season-high-tying three touchdowns against Round Rock Westwood
• Earned All-District honors as a junior when he rushed for 1,394 yards and a career-high 23 touchdowns on 248 carries, while adding 744 yards in the air on 47-of-91 passing with 10 touchdowns and two interceptions for a team that finished 10-4 overall and reached the quarterfinals of the state football playoffs
• Responsible for 33 touchdowns in addition to eight points on four two-point conversions on rushes during his junior season, giving him 198 points responsible for
• Rushed for a career-high 232 yards against Harlandale as a junior
• Named District 25-4A Offensive Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore when he rushed for a career-high 1,708 yards and 16 touchdowns on 278 carries
• Recorded eight 100-yard rushing contests as a sophomore including a single-game season-high 221-yard performance against Marble Falls
• Added 20 catches for 231 yards receiving and three touchdowns as well as one kick return for 24 yards as a sophomore for a total of 1,963 all-purpose yards
• Also completed 12-of-28 passes for 133 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions during his sophomore season
• Wore No. 4 in football
• Also participated in track and field and set the school’s record in the 100 meters by running a 10.8 as a freshman in the spring of 2012
