Cal Career (2015 – Present)
• Has played in 24 games with two starts since his arrival at Cal as a 2015 sophomore after his transfer following one season at Mesa Community College as a 2014 freshman
• Has moved between linebacker and safety throughout his Cal career and is currently listed as an inside linebacker, while he also has extensive experience on special teams
• Has registered career totals of 30 tackles, one interception that he returned three yards in the opening game of his 2017 junior season at North Carolina, two forced fumbles, two pass breakups and one recovery of a Cal onside kick at San Diego State during his 2016 junior campaign in which he was granted a medical redshirt
• Played in all 12 games for the first time in his career and made both of his two career starts as a 2017 junior, recording career highs of 19 tackles and two pass breakups in addition to his lone career interception
• Had his career-high-tying one forced fumble in his 2016 medical redshirt season and vs. Arizona State as a 2015 sophomore

Junior (2017)
• Played in all 12 games for the first time at Cal including two starts against Weber State and at Washington and registered a career-high 19 tackles, his lone career interception that he returned three yards at North Carolina and two pass breakups
• Had a career-high-tying five tackles vs. USC and at Washington, four at Oregon, three against Weber State, and one along with his interception at North Carolina and at UCLA
• Recorded a career-high-tying single pass breakup in back-to-back contests at Washington and vs. Washington State
• Played in the spring game but did not record any statistics other than participation
Junior (2016)
• Earned a share of the Ted Agu Award in honor of the late Cal defensive lineman for his commitment to community service
• Played in the first three contests off the bench before receiving a medical redshirt
• Contributed six tackles and one forced fumble
• Had two tackles in each of the three contests he played in vs. Hawai'i, at San Diego and vs. Texas, while adding the forced fumble on a kickoff return at Hawai'i that set up a 34-yard touchdown pass from Davis Webb to Chad Hansen on the next play to give Cal a 27-14 lead with 3:43 remaining in the first half
• Made his biggest impact on special teams, where he recovered Cal's onside kick at the Golden Bears' 47-yard line with 0:55 remaining at San Diego State to give Cal one final drive in an eventual 45-40 loss
• Played a total of 41 special teams snaps over his three contests
• Had five tackles and the game's only sack for a loss of 10 yards that also accounted for 1.0 tackle for loss (-10 yards) for the losing Gold squad in the spring game
Sophomore (2015)
• Played in nine games off the bench including each of the final seven contests of the campaign on special teams and as a backup safety in his first season at Cal after transferring following one campaign at Mesa Community College
• Contributed five tackles and one forced fumble
• Had his biggest game of the campaign in the season finale against Arizona State when he recorded two tackles and his first of two career forced fumbles
• Also had single tackles in his Cal debut vs. Grambling State as well as at UCLA and vs. Oregon State
• Named a Jonathan and Judy Hoff Scholar-Athlete of the Week
• One of four players and two junior college transfers along with fellow junior college transfer DeVante Wilson and freshmen Ross Bowers and Lonny Powell who were mid-year enrollees in January and participated with the team during its spring practices
• Spent most of spring practices as a starting safety with two 2014 starters in Stefan McClure and Griffin Piatt missing spring practices due to injury

Mesa Community College (2014)
• Earned second-team All-Arizona Community College Athletic Conference honors as a true freshman in 2014 as he recorded 48 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, three interceptions and three pass breakups in nine games played, tying for the team lead in each category other than tackles and interceptions
• Recorded a career-high-tying eight tackles twice (at Glendale, at Scottsdale) and picked up a career-high 5.0 tackles for loss vs. Arizona Western in his lone junior college season, while picks came against Pima, Eastern Arizona and New Mexico Military Institute (first two in back-to-back games), and forced fumble was at Glendale

Betty H. Fairfax HS (Class of 2014)
• Missed his entire 2013 senior season due to injury when his squad was 7-3 overall and 7-1 in II Section I games
• A first-team Arizona Central All-State selection as a 2012 junior when he recorded 46 tackles and five interceptions that he returned for 178 yards to go along with three pass breakups and one fumble recovery for a team that finished 7-4 overall, 4-3 in II Section I games and reached the first round of the AIA state playoffs
• Finished with 1,097 all-purpose yards as a junior with 23 receptions for 667 yards receiving and a 29.0 yards per reception average with nearly half (11) of his receptions going for scores, while adding two rushes for 12 yards, as well as eight kick returns for 223 yards (27.9 ypr) including a 95-yard touchdown against Kellis, one punt return for 17 yards and one blocked punt on special teams to his interception return totals
• Scored at least one receiving touchdown in each of the team’s first seven games and eight of 11 contests overall as a junior, including three consecutive two-touchdown reception games against La Joya Community, O’Connor and Tolleson, adding a third score against each of the latter two squads on interception returns of 42 and 60 yards, respectively
• Had single-game career bests as a junior of eight tackles (Millennium, South Mountain), 107 yards receiving (La Joya Community), and five receptions and 162 all-purpose yards (Independence)
• Contributed 34 tackles, five interceptions and four pass breakups as a 2011 sophomore
• Also ran track and field (100 meters, 4x100 meters) and was on the Phoenix Union High School District winning 4x100 meter team (43.18) as a 2014 senior
• A member of the school’s Dean’s List as a senior in 2013-14
