Stephanie Toovey returned for her second stint with the California men’s basketball program, joining Wyking Jones’ staff in April 2017. Toovey is entering her second season under Jones in 2018-19, and her third season with the Cal men's basketball program overall.

She serves the Golden Bears following time in the Cal Athletics Compliance department and at the University of Auburn, where she served as the Director of Operations for the Tigers’ swimming and diving teams.

From June 2015 to August 2016, Toovey oversaw all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Auburn Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving programs, including budget management, travel, contract negotiations and staff supervision.

She returned to Cal in November 2016 to serve as the athletic department’s Compliance Coordinator before re-joining the basketball program. Previously, Toovey was the Assistant Director of Operations for the men’s basketball program from May 2014 to May 2015. Under former head coach Cuonzo Martin, she assisted in planning and booking team travel, managed day-to-day expenditures and scheduled team events, including community service, academic opportunities, practices and games.

Toovey got her start at Cal as an Olympic Sports Intern from July 2013 to May 2014, assisting in daily operational support for Cal’s Aquatics and Women’s Gymnastics programs as well as organizing and coordinating postseason events and travel.

Toovey graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara in 2012.
