Biography

Vying for a spot in the 12-man lineup...will be a contributor to the team on pommel horse.

2005: Recorded career-high marks on the pommel horse (9.000), parallel bars (9.150) and high bar (9.350)...tied for top honors on the high bar in Cal's defeat of Temple (3/11), posting a 9.100...aided the Bears' upset of No. 1 Illinois on Feb. 19, recording a 9.300 on the high bar and taking first place in the event.

2004: Constantly improved all season, becoming a steady performer for the Bears...scored valuable points in four different events (pommels, rings, parallel bar and high bar)...finished third at the MPSF Championships in parallel bars with a final score of 8.612...placed sixth in the horizontal bar competition at the MPSF meet...recorded a season-high 9.050 in the horizontal bar at the Air Force/Stanford meet (1/30). Previous: Competed at the 2003 Junior Olympic national championships...also was named to the Academic All-America team, graduating with a 4.0 GPA.

Personal: Undeclared major...desires to one day become an astronaut...parents are Will and Ava Pierce...was born June 16, 1985, in Beverly Hills, CA.
