In the 2008 U.S. Open, placed 14th (1:51.61, long-course meters) in the 200 freestyle
At the 2005 U.S. World Championship Trials, was 21st (4:03.30) in the 400-meter freestyle
Cal Success
Returns to the Golden Bears for his final year
As a freshman in 2004-05, took 30th (4:22.91) in the 500-yard freestyle, 36th (15:48.52) in the 1650 free and 37th (1:38.35) in the 200 freestyle in the NCAA Championships
At the 2005 Pac-10 Championships, was sixth (4:21.69) in the 500 free, seventh (1:38.18) in the 200 free and ninth (15:27.76) in the 1650 free
His prelim time in the 500 free (4:19.77) at Pac-10s set a PR that ranked him fifth on Cal's all-time list

What do you think makes Cal unique and distinct from any other school?
Cal allows you to grow and experience many different situations you won't encounter anywhere else.
How do you plan to use your degree from Cal?
I plan to propel my degree into a career that will allow me to comfortably give back to the University that has provided me with so much.
What is your favorite memory from your time at Cal?
Beating Stanford my freshman year (in the fastest dual meet of all time) in the rain and going undefeated in dual meets.
What was your favorite class you have taken so far and why?
Physics 10 - Physics for Future Presidents. Professor Richard Muller is crazy and you can tell he enjoys teaching the class.
What is your favorite part of training?
Racing the amazing group of guys we have from all over the world in workout. The training environment allows for us to constantly push each other. There are Olympic and NCAA finalists, record holders, etc.
