Biography

Cal Success:
  • Contributed as a sophomore in 2017 and had an assist in Cal's NCAA Tournament semifinal game against USC.
  • Finished his sophomore season with three goals, 13 steals, eight field blocks, 4 assists and three ejections earned.
  • Scored against Long Beach State, Santa Clara and San Jose State.
  • Had two steals and two field blocks in Cal's win over San Jose State on Oct. 15.
  • Made an immediate impact as a true freshman in 2016 with contributions ranging from center defense to scoring goals.
  • Finished his first season as a Golden Bear with 11 goals.
  • Scored his first career goal in Cal's first match, finding the net in an 18-8 win at Princeton.
  • Tallied a career-high four goals to help the Bears beat San Jose State 16-9 on Oct. 2.
  • Showed his offensive game in mid-September wins over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Whittier, recording three goals against the former and two more against the latter. 
High School/National/Club Success:
  • East Bay native helped San Ramon Valley HS reach the semifinals of the CIF North Coast Section Division I playoffs in 2015.
  • 2015 honors include second team high school All-America, East Bay Athletic League MVP, first team All-East Bay by the Bay Area News Group.
  • Competed for the 680 Drivers club team.
  • Also an accomplished swimmer at the NCS level and club level. Competed for both the Sycamore Stingrays and Del Amigo Dolphins. Earned the high point award at the 2015 Contra Costa County Championships and was named MVP by the Stingrays. Also earned the 2015 Coaches Award from Del Amigo.
  • All-East Bay Athletic League swimmer at SRV in the 100 and 200 free, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. Helped SRV place second as a team at the CIF State Championships. 

Personal:
  • Named USA Water Polo Academic All-America 
  • Standout student at San Ramon Valley earned Scholar-Athlete award from 2012-15. Also earned Academic Letter from 2013-15. And, helped SRV Water Polo earn a NCS Distinguished Scholastic Team award.
  • Served as an assistant coach at 680 Water Polo from 2014-15.
