NyEma Taylor enters her third year as a volunteer assistant coach with Cal track & field in 2023-24.
Taylor is Certified USA Track & Field (USATF)/World Athletics Academy Level 3 in Sprints & Hurdles, as well as USATF Level 2 in Sprints, Hurdles and Relays, Jumps, Endurance and Youth Specialization. She has over a decade of coaching experience, most recently acting as the head track & field coach and junior varsity volleyball coach at Marin Academy in San Rafael. Prior to her time at Marin Academy, she was the head girls’ track & field coach and head volleyball coach for Hercules High School, assisted with Portland State University’s track & field program, and acted as the Jefferson High School (Portland, Ore.) head sprints and cross country coach.
She has a degree in exercise & sport science from Concordia University – St. Paul.
