As a FRESHMAN in 2008-09, played in all four of the Bear's fall tournaments and one of the spring tournaments...had her first career birdie in her very first tournament, the Ram Classic...shot a three-under 69 in the second round of the Ram Classic...finished in a tie for tenth place with teammate Allison Goodman at the Badger Invitational... shot bookend one-over 72's at the first and third rounds of the Stanford Invitational to close out the fall schedule...made her lone appearance of the Spring at the Wildcat Invitational, scoring for the Bears as their No. 4...best round of the spring was a +6 (78) in the second round of the Wildcat Invitational...averaged 76.5 stroked per round in the five tournaments (15 rounds) of her freshman season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended High School at San Fernando High in San Fernando, Calif...four time League MVP at SFHS...had the league-wide low scoring average...member of 2006 and 2007 undefeated league champion teams...finished fourth in the 2006 state tournament...her low nine hole score in high school play was a four-under...was named the 2006 LA Daily News Athlete of the Year.
PERSONAL: Born October 1, 1990, in Northridge, Calif....parents are Lisa Lavis and Gus Villela...has three younger siblings, Gus Jr., Alyssa, and Adrianna...undeclared major, but wants to graduate with a degree in Mass Communications...enjoys playing basketball with her brothers and sisters.
