Beverly Terry

Beverly Terry is in her 11th season on the Cal women's golf coaching staff in 2025-26.

In her second season as the Bears' associate head coach in 2023-24, Terry became the program's first assistant coach to be named the Division I Gold Pride WGCA Assistant Coach of the Year in June 2024. With longtime head coach Nancy McDaniel taking a leave of absence prior to the start of the season, Terry stepped up to lead the Bears to one of their best years in recent memory.

Cal set numerous program records throughout the year, beginning with a scorching run in the fall in which it won three straight competitions for the second time ever. The Bears posted their two lowest team scores ever, shattering their previous all-time record with a 28-under-par 836 at the Molly Invitational and winning the Ron Moore Intercollegiate with a 21-under 843 two weeks later. In between those events, they also defeated eventual national champion Stanford 4-3 in the Big Match. Sophomore Adora Liu (72.4) and freshman Constance Fouillet (72.7) finished with the Bears' lowest all-time stroke averages, with Fouillet setting the freshman scoring record. The Bears earned five top-5 team finishes and advanced to their 23rd NCAA Regional in 25 years.

During Terry's first season in Berkeley, she helped coach Marianne Li to a share of the NCAA Shoal Creek Region title. Li was one of three players to finish the three-round tournament with a 4-over 220.

Terry has helped the Bears to seven NCAA Regional appearances in nine seasons, including a team appearance at the NCAA Championship in 2017 when the Bears finished in a tie for 14th . In 2016 Marianne Li qualified for the NCAA Championship as an individual. Marthe Wold followed suit in 2018 as she took third place in the San Francisco Regional.

Terry came to Cal after a standout career as a student-athlete at UC Davis. Her career at UC Davis spanned 46 tournaments and 133 rounds from 2011-15. She finished her career with a 75.30 scoring average while leading the Aggies to four consecutive Big West titles, four NCAA Regional bids and two trips to the NCAA Championships.

Her career was marked by two All-Big West First Team nods, including the 2012 season when she was named the Big West Freshman of the Year after capturing medalist honors at the conference championship by winning the Big West title by two strokes.

Terry is certified as a LPGA Teaching Division Apprentice. She graduated in 2015 from UC Davis with a degree in English and a minor in coaching principles.
