Sophomore (2005-06): Recorded Cal's second-best 3000-meter steeplechase (lifetime-best 9:24.03) in the Big Meet...had lifetime-best 3000 meters (8:56.81) at the Hornet Invitational.
Lassen Community College: Won the 2004 CALJUCO Title in the 3000 steeplechase. Cross Country: In 2006, was 14th at the Aggie Open (26:31.30)...in 2005, Parker had a season-best time of 26:37.6 (24th) at the USF Invitational.
High School: Parker graduated from Galena High school in Reno, Nev., where he earned spots on the all-State Cross Country teams twice, as well as being named to the all-Region Wrestling team three times.
Personal: Born in Reno, Nev., to Steve and Catie Parker...Parker's sister, Abby, formerly competed on the Cal track and field and cross country teams...relatives who attended Cal include Parker's father, paternal grandparents, and an uncle who won an Olympic gold medal while rowing for the crew team...undeclared major.
