Spring 2020: Posted a 10-6 singles record and a 5-5 doubles record in the 2019-20 season…Zeynel clinched Cal’s 6-1 win over No. 37 USC with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Estella Jaeger, after she teamed with Anna Bright to clinch the doubles point against the Trojans with a 6-4 victory over Jaeger and Danielle Willson…the England product went 3-0 in singles in the Cal Winter Invitational, besting Aubane Ville of Saint Mary’s, 6-1, ret. (inj.), Cal Poly’s Kimberly Bhunu, 6-3, ret. (inj.), and Cal Poly’s Emily Ackerman, 7-6(7), 6-1.

Fall 2019: Went 5-3 in singles and 4-4 in doubles in the fall…paired with Alexis Nelson in the Cal Fall Invitational, with the duo advancing to the Gold-flight doubles semifinals…overall was 2-2 with Nelson and also 2-2 in doubles with Katerina Stloukalova.

Spring 2019: Finished with a 9-6 singles record and 3-7 doubles mark in her first season for the Golden Bears…was 1-1 in singles during the spring, with her win coming against teammate Jasie Dunk, 6-1, 6-3, in the Cal Winter Invitational.

Fall 2018: In her first half season as a Golden Bear, Zeynel posted an 8-5 singles record and a 3-7 doubles record…won her first singles match – beating Santa Clara’s Caitlyn Frankel, 6-0, 6-3 – and her first doubles match – defeating Santa Clara’s Elvena Gevargiz and Katya Tabachnik, 8-4 – in the Cal Fall Invitational…Zeynel partnered with Katerina Stloukalova in that round of 16 doubles match…she reached the singles round of 64 in the ITA Northwest Regional Championships.
 
Personal/Previous: Molecular and cell biology major…hopes to become a doctor after attending medical school in the U.K...previously played for the Cal Club Tennis team…versatile athlete has also played rounders and netball…parents are Barbara and Kemal Zeynel…has siblings Josh and Jaimie.
