Dr. David Kruse

David Kruse

  • Title
    Team Physician (Men's Gymnastics)
California alum Dr. David Kruse has always worked among the best and that practice has continued long after his Golden Bear days. An NCAA gymnastics champion and All-American several times over while at Cal, Kruse has been named Team USA’s men’s gymnastics team physician for the 2016 Olympics in Rio. The selection should come as no surprise for the native Floridian as he’s also been in that capacity for the U.S. Men’s National team since 2008. Kruse also competed at the international level for the U.S. National team before attending medical school, but chose to specialize in sports medicine to stay connected with his childhood passion. He also works as the team physician for the OC Blues FC, LA Reign and is an associate physician at UC-Irvine. Kruse was a men’s gymnastics captain for the Golden Bears and now has his own practice in Orange, Calif.
