Megan Takacs

Former Golden Bear standout Megan Takacs begins her second season as an assistant lacrosse coach in 2016.

Takacs returned to her alma mater last season under current head coach Brooke Eubanks.

Takacs was named the first All-American in the history of the program. She is also a two-time MPSF Player of the Year and IWLCA West Region first team selection in 2012 and 2013.

Takacs finished her time at Cal as the Bear’s all-time career goal scorer with 148. Her single-season mark of 53 goals scored in 2012 is also best in the school history. In 2013, Takacs almost beat her own record when she tallied 52 goals as a senior. Her 184 career points rank second all-time at Cal.

Following her collegiate career, Takacs helped Team Canada reach the Gold Medal game in the 2013 Fil Women's World Cup. Takacs scored twice in the final, part of her 11 points over the course of the tournament.
