David Kravish Joins Golden State Warriors

OAKLAND – David Kravish, a four-year year starter and two-year captain for the Golden Bears, will play with the 2015 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors in the Samsung NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, the organization announced on Thursday.

The Warriors will open their NBA Summer League schedule against their opponent in the NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers, on Friday, July 10 at 7:30 p.m. PT. They will face Atlanta on Sunday, July 12 at 5:30 p.m. PT and Sacramento on Monday, July 13 at 3:30 p.m. PT, before beginning a tournament-style schedule that will culminate in the crowning of an NBA Summer League Champion on Monday, July 20. The Cavaliers game will be televised on NBA TV, while the Hawks and the Kings games will air on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area. All games will be played at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Kravish is Cal's all-time blocks leader, after completing his stellar Golden Bear career with 226 blocks. The total is fifth in Pac-12 Conference history. The 6-10, 250-pound forward is the only Golden Bear in school history to complete his career with at least 1,000 points, 800 rebounds and 200 blocks. He started 125 career games, including each of his final 122 contests for the Bears from 2011-15.

While owning Cal's all-time blocks mark, Kravish also completed his career as the program's all-time leader in games played (135), third all-time in career rebounds (917) and 20th in career points (1,266). His .520 career field goal percentage is 11th-best in school history.

The forward posted 15 career double-doubles, including five his senior season. He ranked fourth in the Pac-12 in blocks (1.5 bpg.) and seventh in rebounding (7.0 rpg.) as a senior. In Kravish's second-to-last game as a Golden Bear, he recorded a career-best 25 points and eight rebounds in Cal's Pac-12 Tournament victory against Washington State.

Kravish earned his undergraduate degree in integrative biology in May. At Cal's student-athlete academic honors luncheon in May, he was the recipient of the prestigious Jake Gimbel Prize that recognized the graduating male student-athlete for successful integration of academic and athletic pursuits. He was included in a very exclusive group that was invited to sit alongside University of California Chancellor Nicholas B. Dirks during graduation ceremonies.

Warriors Assistant Coach Luke Walton will coach the team in Golden State's 10th summer in Las Vegas. Golden State's summer league roster features 15 players, including a pair who helped the Warriors to the 2015 NBA Championship, Ognjen Kuzmic and James Michael McAdoo.
