Women's Golf Defeats USF By 15 Strokes in Dual

OAKLAND, Calif. - The California women's golf team defeated San Francisco 308-323 in a dual match Thursday at Claremont Country Club in Oakland.

Sophomore Vikki Laing led Cal's 15-stroke team victory with a low score of 75. Cal's other counting scores included junior Anne Walker with a 76, sophomore Ria Quiazon with a 76 and sophomore Amber Reilly with an 81.

For USF, Lisa Chen turned in the Dons lowest score at 77, followed by Jordan Auten with an 80. The other two scores which factored in to the team total came from Emilie Arnaud (81) and Natalie Nakamura (85).

Cal next competes Oct. 9-11, at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, in Redmond, Wash.
