Cal Bears too much for UC Davis Water Polo

Attila Banhidy scored four goals and Andrew Stoddard added three more as fifth-ranked Cal defeated UC Davis, 13-6, in a men's water polo match Friday afternoon at Solano College.
Cal came our strong in the first period as Banhidy and Stoddard each scored two goals to stake the Bears to a 4-0 lead.
It was 8-0 before George Dingeldein put the Aggies on the board at the 2:56 mark of the second period. Jamie Turpen would add another goal for the Aggies, who trailed at halftime 9-2.
UC Davis came out strong in the third quarter, holding the Bears scoreless while adding two goals for themselves as Brian Combs and Peter Conlon each found the back of the goal. The Bears would close the game with four goals in the fourth period while limiting the Aggies to two.
Bears goalies Russell Bernstein and Tim Kates saved three and four shots, respectively, while UC Davis goalie Travis Engelman recorded 11 saves.
With the win, Cal improves to 12-5 while the Aggies fall to 5-15.
