Men's Golf Places Fifth at Cleveland Classic

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. -
The California men's golf team placed fifth at the Cleveland Golf Classic with a 54-hole 883 (+31), seven shots back of fourth-place Fresno State. Individually, Scott Carlyle was the Bears top finisher and captured seventh place (70-73-72-215, +2) in a strong field.
Host USC won the team title (864), followed by Oregon (867), Washington (867) and Fresno State (876). Washington's Brock Mackenzie won medalist honors (71-68-69-208, -5).
