No. 15 Cal 6th at Cleveland Golf Classic

Westlake Village, Calif. - With the second round of play suspended because of darkness, No. 15 California sits in sixth position heading into Tuesday at the Cleveland Golf Collegiate Classic. The Bears sit at 13-over with the majority of their second round completed. They trail first place USC, who at 2-under, is the only team under par.

The second round was suspended due to darkness. Only three of teams in the 17-team field completed the two rounds. Teams that did not complete that round will finish it on Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m., with round three beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Cal shot a 6-over (290) in the first round and trailed first place Tennessee at 5-under (279).

The Bears were led by senior Peter Tomasulo. In the clubhouse after finishing his two rounds, Tomasulo is 4-under (69-69). He trails Texas' Matthew Rosenfeld at 7-under.

Jeff Hood and Matt Schreiber also both finished their rounds. Hood sits at 8-over-par (73-77), while Schreiber, competing in his first event this spring, is at 23-over-par (81-84).

Both Scott Carlyle and Jesse Ruda have yet to finish their rounds. Carlyle will tee off on the 17th at 1-over-par, while Ruda starts tomorrow on the 16th at 8-over-par.
