BERKELEY - The California Golden Bears out shot New Hampshire 24 to three enroute to a 6-1, trouncing of the Wildcats on Sunday afternoon at Maxwell Family Field.

Junior Jennifer Crane scored the Bears' first goal 12 minutes into the game off a cross field pass from Christina McGrath. With five minutes left in the first half Ashley Glosz tapped in a goal off a pass from senior forward Valentina Godfrid. The last goal of the first period was a penalty stroke by Godfrid, giving Cal the 3-0 lead at the break.

Glosz scored again in the opening minutes of the second half. Jennifer Crane assisted Glosz on the goal. Five minutes following Glosz's second goal, New Hampshire finally got on the board with a goal by Sophie Ostroski.

Crane scored her second goal of the game seven minutes after the Wildcat's lone score. Godfrid converted for the Bear's sixth and final goal.

The Bears return to the field on Monday, Sept. 4 to face No. 2 Wake Forest. The match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. (PST) start at Maxwell Family Field.
