Cal Defeats Victoria, 3-0, in Exhibition

Senior forward Jennifer Crane collected a goal and an assist to lead California to a 3-0 exhibition victory over the University of Victoria on Monday afternoon at Maxwell Family Field.
Crane entered the match in the 13th minute and 20 seconds later scored the game's first goal off an assist from junior midfielder Ashley Glosz.
Cal junior forward Andrea Lo, a Canada native from West Vancouver, B.C., scored in the 18th minute off a Crane assist. Bears junior forward Katie Knoche closed the scoring with a strike in the 63rd minute off a dish from freshman midfielder Kaitlin Duncan.
Cal outshot the Canadian team, 8-1, including 5-0 in the second half.
Bears senior goalkeeper Liz Braasch, who played the first half, and junior goalkeeper Kelly Knoche, who played the second, did not make any saves.
Vikings goalie Kaitlyn Williams made three saves.
Cal returns to action on Thursday at 3 p.m., when it again hosts Victoria for an exhibition match. The Bears return to their regular-season schedule at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 3, when they host Missouri State.
