"He's tough. He was kind of alone up there. We just keep backing each other up in the backline. He kept everything in front of us. I don't even think he had a shot."

Cal forward Andrew Wiedeman
On his goal:
"It was towards the end of the game. There was a ball up in the air and [Scot Van Buskirk] did well to get up and out-jump his defender. All their defenders were high so it was pretty much just a through ball in and I was in. It was good work by Scot to get up and out-compete his defender."

On if it was easier to score later in the game:
"I think it definitely opened up as the game went on, but that tends to be what it is in all games. I think we settled down and we were able to exploit the gaps in their defense and in between the lines."
