Berkeley - No. 22 California suffered an 8-0 setback (in six innings) to the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday at Levine-Fricke Field to fall to 33-16, 2-6 Pac-10 play.

Cal and Oregon State face each other again tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. at Levine-Fricke Field. As a side note to fans, due to technical difficulties at Levine-Fricke Field, there will be no GameTracker available for tomorrow's contest.

The Bears could only get five hits off of Oregon State starter Kelly Dyer, including two from Valerie Arioto and Vernae Sevilla. Dyer did not issue a walk and struck out two.

Cal starter Marissa Drewrey was unable to make it out of the first inning, allowing three runs on four hits. The sophomore came off astounding 11 inning pitching performance in Friday's 3-2 win over Oregon. Arioto relieved Drewrey in the second inning and struck out five.

Senior Erika Racklin stole her 23rd base of the season - tying Vicky Galindo and Lindsay James for third most thefts in a single season.

Oregon State quickly got out to a 3-0 lead in the opening frame and reeled off another two runs in the top of the second to take a 5-0 lead. Audrey Roderfeld earned her third RBI of the game in the top of the second on a single up the middle to score junior Paige Lowe.OSU scored again when junior DeAnn Young's slow-rolling single toward first base to extend the lead to 5-0.

Sophomore Tarah Black put another up on the board for Oregon State with her one-out solo home run over left field in the top of the third inning, to widen the gap to 6-0.
