After Washington snapped the streak to make it 23-20, Cal scored three in a row to tie it up, getting another kill from Vukasovic and an ace by senior middle hitter Kat Brown.

The Bears fell behind early again in the second set but this time couldn't forge a comeback. The Huskies scored seven straight points early in the set to take a 9-1 advantage. Cal pecked away to cut it to 12-9, but Washington then scored four in a row to extend the advantage again. The Bears never got within six points again for the rest of the set.
Cal started the third set off much stronger than each of the first two, taking a 5-2 lead behind good serving by Gombar and Brown. It was tied at 9-9 later in the set before the Huskies reeled off four in a row. Washington gradually extended its lead and polished off the match.
