CALIFORNIA: Enters her first season as a setter for the Golden Bears.
SAN DIEGO STATE: As a freshman played in three games for the Aztecs, recording 11 assists and two digs.
HIGH SCHOOL: At Westlake High School in Austin, Tex. was named first team all-district and was selected to play in the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-Star Game as a senior in 2002...also helped lead her team to the 2002 state class 5A championship...played seven years of club volleyball with the Austin Juniors, with her 17s team placing third at the 2001 AAU national championships.
PERSONAL: Meredith Jacqueline Hasson was born April 16, 1985 in Austin, Tex....parents are Newt and Pam Hasson...has a sister, Lauren, 22, and brother, Duke, 21, a sophomore quarterback at Southern Methodist...has not declared a major, but is interested in computer engineering.
