Ginger Miles took over the reins of the Cal program in June 2011. In her first season in Berkeley in 2012, Miles led the Bears to an 8-8 overall record, including a 5-3 record in road contests. In addition, Miles' guidance helped Megan Takacs earn MPSF Player of the Year honors and a selection to the IWLCA West/Midwest Region Team. Twelve Bears also earned MPSF All-Academic honors under Miles last season.
Formerly the head coach at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Miles guided the Division III CMS team to a pair of conference titles and two second-round appearances in the NCAA Tournament. CMS produced a 16-3 overall record and 9-0 SCIAC conference mark in 2011 and a 16-3 (10-0 SCIAC) record in 2010.
She has served on the U.S. Lacrosse Board of Directors and Women's Game Committee, as well as their Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, since 2010.

A 2006 UVa graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences as a government major, Miles later worked as an admissions counselor in the Outreach Office for the University of Virginia Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Miles started in goal in 2005 and 2006 for UVa, leading the Cavaliers to Atlantic Coast Conference championships both seasons. She claimed berths on the ACC All-Tournament Team and the ACC All-Academic team in 2006. Miles played in seven games in each of her first two seasons, including 2004 when the Cavs defeated Princeton for the NCAA crown.
