Former Golden Bear Erika Racklin joins the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant for the 2009 season. The speedster stole a personal-best 28 bases her senior year in 2008 (third in the Pac-10), which was tied for the most in a season at Cal. She also scored a personal-best 45 runs and notched a personal-best 57 hits. She produced her best season in a Cal uniform after hitting .280 her junior season in 2007. Racklin ranks second all-time at Cal with 72 career stolen bases.
