Schrey joined the Cal softball team in 2009 after competing two seasons with the soccer team ... Schrey, who has not competed in softball since high school, has two years left of athletic eligibility.
2008 (soccer): Played in all 19 games for the Bears, netting four goals and an assist ... scored the game-winning goal against Santa Clara.
2007 (soccer): Saw action in 20 games, making starts against USC and at Arizona...registered seven points from three goals and an assist...two of her goals came against Santa Clara, including in the first round of a 2-0 first round NCAA Tournament game...also scored in a win at Arizona...delivered the game-winning assist at Arizona State.
Saint Mary's (2006): As a sophomore, paced the Gaels in goals (5) and points (13)...started 19 of 20 games for the WCC program...two of her goals came in a 4-1 win over San Francisco.
2005: As a freshman, topped her team with 15 points and tied for the team lead with six goals...played in 19 games, making 18 starts on her way to a spot on the WCC All-Freshman team...recorded game-winning goals in a 1-0 win over UC Santa Barbara and in a 2-1 triumph over Sacramento State.
High School: A highly decorated softball and soccer player at Edison ... played four years of softball and was named the league's Offensive Player of the Player and the Valley League Player of the Year, while garnering first-team all-league and all-valley honors her senior year ... set the Section record for RBIs in a season (57) and broke her own single season hits record ... broke the CIF Central Section all-time career hit record previously held by Andrea Duran ... was CalHi Sports first-team all-state choice ... was a four-year letterwinner in soccer and softball at Edison High School...led her soccer team to the Central Valley Championships titles in 2003 and 2004 and helped her team capture the North Yosemite League title in 2005...garnered All-Yosemite League honors all four years and first-team All-Valley recognition in 2004 and second-team status in 2003.
Why I Chose Cal: "I chose Cal because I knew it was somewhere that was going to challenge me to not only to be the best athlete I could be but also the best student I could be. There are very few schools that offer what Cal does on the field and in the classroom and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be part of such a great university."
Personal: A social welfare major...parents are Randy and Julie Schrey.
