BALTIMORE, Md. – Davis Webb picked up another honor Thursday when he made the cut for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award®. Webb is now one of 15 remaining candidates for the honor presented at the end of each season to the nation's top college quarterback based on his accomplishments both on and off the field. The award's initial watch list had 43 candidates.

The 2016 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award® will be presented in Baltimore at a ceremony at The Embassy Suites Baltimore Inner Harbor & Grand Historic Venue on Dec. 9.

Webb was previously one of 10 quarterbacks added Wednesday to the 2016 Manning Award Watch List for the award that also annually recognizes the nation's top signal caller. He is also on the watch list for the Maxwell Award honoring the nation's top player.

Webb has been among the nation's leaders in nearly every passing category throughout the 2016 season and currently paces the nation in passing attempts (301) while co-leading the country in completions (183). Webb started the 2016 season with five consecutive games of at least 300 yards through the air and four touchdown passes before both strings were snapped in last Saturday's 47-44 overtime loss at Oregon State.
