WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Chad Hansen was a second-team selection to highlight six Cal players honored on the 2016 All-Pac-12 Football Team in a vote of the league's coaches that was announced by the conference Tuesday. Five others Golden Bears – Matt Anderson, James Looney, Steven Moore, Khalfani Muhammad and Davis Webb – earned honorable mention recognition.

Hansen has posted some of the best per-game numbers in the nation all season and currently ranks second in the country in receiving yards per game (124.9) and third in receptions per game (9.2). He also ranks seventh nationally in receptions (92) and ninth in receiving yards (1,249) despite missing two contests due to injury. He leads the Pac-12 in all four categories while he is also fourth in the conference and tied for 15th nationally with his 11 touchdown catches.

The conference's Player and Coach of the Year honors were split between Pac-12 North winner Washington and USC. The Huskies' Jake Browning and Taylor Rapp were named the Offensive and Freshman Defensive Player of the Year, respectively, while the Trojans' Adoree' Jackson and Sam Darnold were selected the conference's Pat Tillman and Freshman Offensive Player of the Year.
Colorado's Mike MacIntyre was named the conference's Coach of the Year after coaching the Buffaloes to a Pac-12 South title.

Cal finished the 2016 regular season with a 5-7 overall record and a 3-6 Pac-12 mark to tie for fourth in the conference's North Division. The Bears will learn whether they will receive a bowl invitation when this season's bowl schedule is announced Sunday, Dec. 4.

Below are mini bios for each of Cal's 2016 All-Pac-12 Football Team selections.

SECOND TEAM
Chad Hansen, WR, 6-2, 205, Jr., 1L, Fillmore, CA (Idaho State/Moorpark HS)
Hansen has posted some of the best per-game numbers in the nation throughout the 2016 season and currently ranks second in the country in receiving yards per game (124.9) and third in receptions per game (9.2). He also ranks seventh nationally in total receptions (92) and ninth in receiving yards (1,249) to rank third all-time at Cal on both single-season lists despite missing two contests due to injury. Hansen leads the Pac-12 in all four categories while he is also fourth in the conference and tied for 15th nationally with his 11 touchdown catches. Hansen has seven 100-yard receiving games in 2016 including a career-high 196 against Texas and six contests with 10 or more catches including a career-high-tying 14 in each of the first two games of the season vs. Hawai'i in the College Football Sydney Cup and at San Diego State. The 14 catches tied for third on Cal's all-time single-game list while the 196 receiving yards is seventh.

HONORABLE MENTION
Matt Anderson, PK, 6-0, 190, Jr., 1L, Danville, CA (San Ramon HS)
Anderson capped his regular season by tying a single-game school record with five field goals made against UCLA and this season has connected on a school-record-tying 22 field goals in 26 attempts (.846). He has also set a Cal single-season record with his 117 points on the campaign after a career-high 18 points against the Bruins. Anderson ranks tied for first nationally in PAT percentage (51-51, 1.000), tied for fifth in field goals made, tied for sixth in field goals per game (1.83) and tied for 10th in total points scored. The Lou Groza Place-Kicker Award semifinalist also earned CoSIDA Academic All-District® honors earlier in the month and is on the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot.

James Looney, DT, 6-3, 280, Jr., 1L, Lake Worth, FL (Wake Forest/Lake Worth HS)
Looney started all 12 regular-season games and compiled 54 tackles, 8.0 sacks (-38 yards), 3.5 tackles for loss (-22 yards), two quarterback hurries, one fumble recovery that he returned 25 yards and one forced fumble. He had a career-high nine tackles against Texas, a career-high 2.0 tackles for loss (career-high -17 yards) against Oregon and a career-high-tying 1.0 sacks three times including a career-high -10 yards twice against Oregon and UCLA.

Khalfani Muhammad, RB, 5-9, 175, Sr., 3L, Inglewood, CA (Notre Dame HS)
Muhammad finished the regular-season with 1,543 all-purpose yards including 827 on the ground on 152 carries, both team and career highs, while scoring on a pair of runs. He added 132 yards receiving on a career-high-tying 17 receptions and another 584 yards on 24 kick returns for a career-high 24.3 yard average. Muhammad eclipsed the 200-yard all-purpose mark twice with a season-high 218 against Oregon and 214 vs. UCLA. He was also over 100 yards rushing on three occasions with a career-high 165 at Oregon State and 148 vs. Oregon in back-to-back games before finishing the regular season with 116 on a career-high 29 carries against UCLA. Muhammad has 4,575 career all-purpose yards to rank third all-time at Cal while his 87 kick returns and 1,931 kick return yards are both second.

Steven Moore, OL, 6-6, 310, Sr., 3L, Elk Grove, CA (Elk Grove HS)
Moore started each of Cal's first 11 games to run his career totals to each of his first 48 games possible with 47 starts before missing the regular-season finale against UCLA due to injury. Moore anchored an offensive line that has helped Cal to rank third nationally in passing offense (358.8 ypg) and first downs offense (336), fourth in fourth-down conversion percentage (74.2%) and 11th in total offense (513.2). The Golden Bears leading the Pac-12 in each of the latter three categories and rank second in passing offense. Cal has also allowed the second-fewest sacks in the Pac-12 (16) while its three fumbles lost are the fewest and its 15 total turnovers tied for the second fewest.

Davis Webb, QB, 6-5, 230, Sr., TR, Prosper, TX (Texas Tech/Prosper HS)
Webb ranks in the top five nationally in five passing categories including passing attempts (No. 1, 620), passing yards (No. 2, 4295), completions (382, No. 3), passing touchdowns (37, No. T4) and total offense (348.8, No. 5). Webb is also the Pac-12's leader in both passing attempts and passing yards. He has set Cal single-season records for passing attempts, completions and total plays (653) while equaling three other single-season records including touchdowns responsible (43) with his 37 in the air plus another six on the ground that ties for the most ever by a Cal quarterback as well as 300-yard passing games (10). Webb also set a single-game school record with his 72 pass attempts at San Diego State while his career-high 522 passing yards in the same contest is fourth on the school's all-time single-game list.
