BOULDER, Colo. – Cal senior
Maddy Kerr became just the second Cal volleyball player ever to register 1,700 career digs but the Golden Bears fell to Colorado on Sunday 25-15, 25-19, 25-15 at the Coors Events Center.
Kerr had 14 digs against the Buffs to give her 1,702 for her career. She ranks second on the Bears' all-time digs list, behind the 1,810 Jillian Davis amassed from 2003-06.
Junior
Christine Alftin led Cal (9-15, 3-11 Pac-12) with 11 kills while senior
Jenelle Jordan had seven kills and three blocks. Freshman
Maddie Haynes also had seven kills.
The Bears return to action Thursday as they host No. 9 UCLA at Haas Pavilion. The match will be televised by the Pac-12 Network.
