BERKELEY – Kristine Anigwe powered her way to a game-high 24 points to lead California to a 75-56 victory over Arizona and snap a four-game Golden Bear losing streak Sunday afternoon at Haas Pavilion.

Sophomore Mikayla Cowling added 13 points and seven rebounds while fellow sophomore Gabby Green chipped in 11 points and a game-high eight assists, along with matching her career-high six steals for Cal (12-13, 3-11 Pac-12).

With the win, the Golden Bears snapped a four-game losing streak and avenged their 57-52 loss to Arizona (11-15, 2-12 Pac-12) on January 4 in Tucson that broke Cal's 17-game series winning streak.

Anigwe shot a perfect 8-8 from the field and 8-11 from the charity stripe. With her performance, the seven-time Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honoree has scored in double figures in 23 games this season and netted 20 or more in 11 contests.

Green and Anigwe set the tone for the Bears in the first quarter as each scored five points. Anigwe netted five of Cal's first seven from the paint and free throw line while Range nailed the game's first three pointer at the 4:36 mark to give the Bears a 10-8 lead. With the game tied for the third time at 12-12 and the period winding down, Green found Cowling for a three-pointer that just beat the quarter buzzer and gave Cal a 15-12 advantage.

With the game square at 17-17 with 7:59 left in the second quarter, Arizona's Malena Washington singlehandedly sent the Wildcats on an 8-2 run to give the visitors their largest lead of the game (25-19) with 4:47 left in the half.

Cal took just over two and a half minutes to match Arizona with an 8-2 surge of its own as another Cowling triple knotted the game at 27. The Bears would take a 31-28 lead into halftime and never trail again.

Anigwe scored the first nine points of the third quarter and the first six of the fourth to put the game out of reach for the Wildcats as Cal led by at least 11 points for all but 1:04 of the final period.

Washington led Arizona with 13 points and LaBrittney Jones contributed 12 in defeat.

Cal will begin its final road slate before the Pac-12 Tournament on Friday, February 19 against Utah. The Bears' last road contest will come on Sunday, February 21 at Colorado.
