CHARLOTTE – The Carolina Panthers officially announced Monday that Jordan Rigsbee has signed with the NFL team. Rigsbee participated in the Panthers' rookie minicamp this past Friday and Saturday as a tryout player.

Cal now has 41 former players currently on NFL rosters including 12 that were key contributors to the Golden Bears' 2015 squad that finished 8-5 overall and defeated Air Force in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl to culminate a seven-win turnaround in two seasons that is tied for the second best in school history.

Rigsbee made 49 career starts over the final four campaigns of his five seasons at Cal after redshirting as a true freshman in 2011. He was the only team's only player to start every game possible from 2012-15 and one of only two Cal players to participate in each of those 49 contests. He made his 49 starts at four different positions on the offensive line, starting 16 games at left guard, 13 at right guard, 12 at right tackle and eight at center.

Rigsbee started a career-high 13 games as a 2015 senior and was considered one of the top offensive linemen in a group that helped the Bears set numerous records including single-season school marks in passing yardage (4,892), passing yards per game (376.3 ypg), passing touchdowns (44), total offense (6,879), total yards per game (529.2 ypg), total touchdowns (63), scoring offense (37.9 ppg, modern-era record), first downs (341) and first downs passing (201).

Cal ranked third nationally in passing offense, eighth in total offense and 17th in scoring offense in 2015, with all of the numbers second in the Pac-12. The Bears also led the Pac-12 and ranked tied for 10th nationally in first downs and boasted a third-down conversion percentage (46.1%) that was second in the Pac-12 and 14th nationally.
