24 Former Players On Opening-Day NFL Rosters

2016 Golden Bear NFL Rookies To Include Undrafted Free Agent Stephen Anderson

BERKELEY – A total of 24 former Cal football players remained on active NFL rosters late Saturday after the league's 32 teams were forced to cut their active rosters to the 53 per squad allowed for the regular-season. Undrafted free tight end Stephen Anderson of the Houston Texans is one of four former Golden Bears who will be rookies for the 2016 campaign along with wide receiver Trevor Davis (Green Bay Packers), quarterback Jared Goff (Los Angeles Rams) and running back Daniel Lasco (New Orleans Saints).

NFL teams will be allowed to add up to 10 players to their practice squad rosters beginning Sunday.
