Cal Baseball Camps Set To Start In June
BERKELEY – With the 2017 season having recently concluded, Evans Diamond will still remain the place to be for baseball in the Bay Area as Cal Baseball's popular series of summer camps returns to Berkeley beginning June 19.
Participants will receive professional instruction by the Cal Baseball staff, led by 2011 National Coach of the Year
David Esquer. With a number of different camp options, kids can find a camp that fits their skill level and age range.
Camps begin on June 19-22 and June 26-29 with Cal Baseball School. Designed for kids ages 6 to 12, this co-ed camp starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Half day options are also available, as is extended care. Cal Baseball School focuses on the basic fundamentals of the game and will include infield play, throwing, base running, outfield play, hitting and pitching.
Cal Baseball Games Camp comes to Evans from June 26 to 29 and is again designed for ages 6 through 12. Campers will be divided by age and placed on teams to compete in a low pressure atmosphere that focuses on learning through continuous play.
From July 10-13, kids ages 6 through 12 can take part in a Cal Baseball Skills/Games Combo Camp that combines the curriculum of the Cal Baseball School with the Games Camp. From July 17-20, the Bears will hold their Baseball Development Camp that focuses on players age 13 to 16 and is designed for those looking to improve and advance their game as they transition to high school competition. With stations and drills in addition to controlled scrimmages, campers will receive instruction in a variety of forms.
Cal Baseball School resumes from July 24-27 and is followed by another Games Camp from July 31-Aug. 3. The Bears close the summer with an End of Summer/Games Combo Camp from Aug. 7-10.
Spots are limited, and those interested should sign up soon to ensure participation. To register, find pricing for each camp or learn more about an individual Cal Baseball Camp, call 1-800-645-3266 or
