BERKELEYA rainy afternoon in Corvallis, Ore., provided a slippery backdrop for California as they battled Pac-12 foe Oregon State for the second consecutive Thursday.

Unfortunately, the Golden Bears were unable to find their footing and fell 2-1 in overtime to mark their first loss on the road this season.

The Beavers came out the gate aggressively knocking at the Bears' door recording three shots within the first several minutes of play. OSU collected on their efforts shortly after, drilling a goal in the 10th minute to move ahead 1-0.

The Bears were able to equalize on a penalty kick from Jose Carrera-Garcia to force extend play with things knotted at 1-1, dominating possession for the majority of the second period and swarming the Beavers' net to collect 14 shots on the day. It was JCG's second successful PK of the season.

Unable to maintain the pressure on the OSU defense, Cal gave up the game-winner in the 97th minute.

Drake Callender recorded a pair of saves, but gave up his 13th goal of the season to move his record to 8-4.

The Bears continue their rematch road trip on Sunday when they face the No. 21 Huskies of Washington in Seattle at 5 p.m. Cal faced Washington last Sunday, delivering a 2-1 upset in Berkeley. The game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network with live stats available on CalBears.com.
