BERKELEY – Senior
Antzela Dempi had 12 kills and moved into the Top 10 in Cal's single-season ace list, but it was not enough as the Cal volleyball team fell to Oregon State 25-14, 25-21, 25-23 on Sunday afternoon at Haas Pavilion.
A senior from Thessaloniki, Greece, Dempi had team-high three aces on the afternoon, pushing her season total to 43, tied with Brooke Coulter and Lisa Arce for 10
th on Cal's single-season ace list.
Freshman
Mima Mirkovic added 11 kills for the Golden Bears (13-12, 4-10 Pac-12), while freshman setter
Isabel Potter had 31 assists, her third game this season with 30 or more assists and four shy of her career best.
Senior
Christine Alftin had a season-high 16 digs while playing in just her third match of the season as Cal's libero.
The Bears will be back in action on Thursday, November 9, visiting Washington at 7 p.m. PT. The match against the Huskies will be broadcast live on Pac-12 Networks.
