California field hockey tests its three-game winning streak at the Quinnipiac Bobcat Invitational this weekend as the Golden Bears hit the road for the second set of away games this season. The Bears will meet Fairfield on Saturday at 9 a.m. to open play in Hamden, Conn., before completing the weekend against the hosting Bobcats on Sunday at 9 a.m. Both matches will be played at QU's brand new Quinnipiac Field Hockey Stadium.
The surging Golden Bears have outscored opponents 14-2 since their win streak began on the road on Sept. 8, most recently taking a 4-1 victory over conference foe then-No. 24 Pacific in the America East opener. Cal has two wins over NFHCA Top 25 opponents this season, downing then-No. 22 UMass, 2-1, to start off the month of September,

• Cal ranks top 15 in the nation in two categories: Assists Per Game (12th, 2.71) and Points Per Game (15th, 8.43)
• Individually, three Bears rank among the nation's top 25 in stat categories --
Megan Rodgers is 8th for goals per game (1.00) and 15th for points per game (2.29),
Femke Delissen is 20th for assists per game (0.71) and
Danielle Mentink is 24th for win-loss percentage (0.667).
• Rodgers is halfway to joining the ranks as one of Cal's leading single-season goal-scorers. Three Bears (
Shellie Onstead, Nora Feddersen, Ashley Glosz) rank 10th in single-season goals scored with 14, and Rodgers currently has 7.
SCOUTING THE STAGS

• Streak: California is a perfect 4-0 against Fairfield.
• Eight different Stags have found a way to score this season, led by the two goals apieces from Andrea Soler, Jacklyn Gallagher and Sam Giordano.
• Hannah Pike, Jamie Appelberg and Danielle Profita each have a team-high two assists.
• Caitlin Gilligan leads in minutes in goal, with nearly 281 minutes this season. She has allowed 14 goals with 27 saves for a 3.49 goals against average and 1-3 record in the cage in five appearances.
• Zoe Rosen has four appearances in goal, logging 222 minutes with 12 goals allowed and 29 saves. She is 1-2 in goal.
• Fairfield was tabbed second in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.
• Pike and Gallagher were named to the Preseason All-MAAC team.

• Valerie Perkins owns a team-high three goals plus one assist to pace the Bobcats with seven points.
• Lauren Belskie, Dayna Barlow and Michelle Federico have each scored two goals and two assists for six points.
• Livy Golini leads the Big East with 47 saves and ranks third for her 5.88 saves per game. She has played every minute in the cage.

MOORE HONORS
The week after Cal swept the America East awards in week 3, a California field hockey player once again took home the Player of the Week honor, with
Melina Moore taking the title for week 4. Moore, a Los Gatos, Calif., product, scored a goal and added an assist in Cal's conference-opening win over Pacific, 4-1.
BEARS SWEEP AE HONORS
After a perfect 2-0 weekend in their first road trip of the season in week 3, California swept the America East weekly honors with
Megan Rodgers earning both Player and Rookie of the Week laurels and
Danielle Mentink nabbing the Defensive Player of the Week award. Rodgers scored five goals between the two games, including Cal's first hat trick in two seasons at Bryant, and added an assist. Mentink logged all 140 minutes in the cage and allowed just one goal in 19 shots faced for a league-best 0.50 goals against average.
BEARS TABBED THIRD IN AE WEST
For the second consecutive season, the coaches of the America East have predicted a third-place finish for the Golden Bears (5 points) in the America East, just one point behind second-place Pacific (6 points). Stanford received three first-place votes to be named the favorite in the West, while UC Davis was tabbed last. In the East Division, Maine was predicted as the league's champion.
