Cal-TCU Postgame Notes

Cal is now 11-11-1 all-time in bowl games. This was the Bears' first bowl overtime game.
Ā
Cal has held opponents to 24 points or less in the last seven games (four wins) with a total of 104 points allowed (14.9 ppg) in those contests.
Ā
The 10 points allowed are the fewest in a bowl game since the Bears held Texas A&M to 10 points in the 2006 Holiday Bowl.
Ā
Evan Weaver and Jordan Kunaszyk both moved up Cal's single-season top 10 list for tackles. Weaver finished the day with 14 and ends the campaign with 157, which ranks third on the list. Kunaszyk's 14 tackles give him 147 on the year, which ranks tied for fourth with Jerrott Willard (1993). It was Weaver's 10th game this season with double-digit tackles and Kunaszyk's ninth.
Ā
Jaylinn Hawkins' three interceptions are a career high and the most by a Cal player since Kameron Jackson had three vs. UCLA on Oct. 6, 2012. It's also a Cheez-It Bowl record. Kunaszyk recorded Cal's third INT of the night, his first this season and the fourth of his career.
Ā
Cal's 21 interceptions this season rank first among Power 5 schools, and are the most since Cal's single-season record of 24 each in 2008 and 2009. The four interceptions are a school bowl record (1992 Citrus Bowl vs. Clemson).
Ā
Evan Rambo notched his second career sack, both this season, towards the end of the first half.
Ā
Steven Coutts boasted a career-high nine punts, and five inside the 20 tied a career best.
Ā
Tonight marks the third time this season that Cal has shut out an opponent in the first half, and the fifth time the Bears have not allowed a touchdown in the first half.
Ā
Addison Ooms started his 37th consecutive game tonight, the most since Jared Goff (2013-15) also started 37 games in a row.
Ā
Ten Bears have started every game this year (DE Luc Bequette, CB Camryn Bynum, S Ashtyn Davis, OL Jake Curhan, OL Valentino Daltoso, OLB Alex Funches, RB Patrick Laird, ILB Jordan Kunaszyk, OL Addison Ooms, ILB Evan Weaver).
