CAL TO HOST MPSF CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2018 MPSF Women's Water Polo Championships will take place at Cal's Spieker Aquatics Complex April 27-29. All six teams in the conference will compete for an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. There will be two first-round games on Friday, the semifinals and a consolation game on Saturday with the championship and third place game taking place on Sunday. All-session and single-day tickets can be purchased at CalBears.com, by calling 1-80-GOBEARS or at the gate.Â
BEARS CLINCH NO. 2 SEED, FIRST-ROUND BYE
The Bears have clinched a second-place finish in the final MPSF standings, giving them the No. 2 seed in next week's conference tournament at Cal. The top two seeds - USC and Cal - will have a bye in Friday's first round and advance straight to the conference semifinals. The second-place finish is the Bears' best performance in conference play since they also finished second in the 2011 season.
